Can be used for exterior use but must be painted or sealed to prevent rusting.
*All pipes and fittings will need to be cleaned prior to assembling.
The end frames will measure 42" wide to center of the picnic bench pipes. The single vertical center (picnic table) pipe will be centered in the table frame at a height of 28" off the floor to the top of the mounting flange as pictured.
The side benches will measure 16.5" off of the floor to the top of the mounting flange for your bench boards to mount to.
The top in the picture is 28” wide and the bench seats are 10” wide.
All of the pipes and fitting parts needed to build a picnic table base are included (2 end frames). Pipe - construction grade industrial pipe.

Once cleaned the pipe can be painted if so desired. Exterior use is not recommended unless painted.

Water should not be used to clean the iron pipe. It will discolor the pipe and fittings.
NOTE: Pipe threads will show a little bit and therefore will not screw in all of the way. That’s how they’re made (slightly tapered pipe threading).**Please Note:

Important Note on Shelf Bracket Sizing
When ordering our straight shelf brackets, please be aware that the listed length refers to the pipe itself. Once the pipe, mounting flange, and end cap are fully assembled, the usable space for your shelf will be 3/4" to 1" shorter.
For example, if you purchase an 8" shelf bracket, the actual length for your shelf to rest on will be approximately 7" to 7-1/4", depending on how tightly you screw the pieces together. Please keep this in mind when measuring and planning your project.

Cleaning and Assembly Instructions:
Your black pipe "DIY" kit is delivered as a parts kit and will need to be cleaned before assembly. The pipes have a thin, protective coating to prevent scratching and rusting during shipping. We recommend using a degreaser like ZEP 505 or a similar product in a spray bottle.
Simple Steps for a Clean Finish:
Spray the degreaser directly onto the pipe.
Wipe the pipe clean with a cloth.
Repeat this process a few times to ensure all of the protective coating is removed, leaving a clean, ready-to-use surface for your project.
